Electronic residency: a beta test of the uResidency program was launched in Ukraine

Ukraine is launching a beta version of the uResidency program, which allows foreigners to register businesses and pay taxes online, promising low tax rates and ease of use. Fedorov believes that this will boost economic development and digital branding.
Ukraine has launched a beta test of uResidency, an electronic residency program for foreigners. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, UNN reports .
Details
Fedorov explained that this program will allow citizens of other countries to register as sole proprietors in Ukraine and do business from anywhere in the world, paying taxes to our budget.
At uResidency, all services are automated and online: from applying for status to opening a bank account and paying taxes. Future e-residents will also have advantages in the form of mobile banking, low taxation of 5%, and no accounting and reporting
Fedorov is convinced that uResidency will become a powerful source for the recovery of our economy by taxing foreign entrepreneurs. It will also popularize the brand of Ukraine as a digital state.

According to the minister, this program has been in the works for three years. Currently only a few countries in the world offer e-residency.
Mr. Fedorov emphasized that Ukraine offers foreign entrepreneurs the most favorable conditions for paying taxes and a human-centered service where business can be done in a few clicks.
