Co-pilot Oleksandr Kalyaninov, a graduate of the Ukrainian State Flight Academy, died in a plane crash in Kazakhstan on December 25. During the crash, he saved dozens of lives in the line of duty.

It is noted that Oleksandr Kalyaninov was born in 1992.
Since childhood, he has dreamed of becoming a pilot, like his father, and connecting his life with the sky.
Kalyaninov received his Master's degree in Aviation Transport on April 6, 2021. He studied at the Faculty of Flight Operations under the educational and professional program "Flight Operation of Aircraft" and received the qualifications of "Pilot Engineer" and "Research Engineer".
Oleksandr was very intelligent, erudite, fluent in several foreign languages, very honest and always ready to help. During the plane crash, risking his own life, he saved dozens of lives in the line of duty
The administration, faculty and staff of the Ukrainian State Flight Academy expressed their sincere condolences to Oleksandr's mother, family and friends, the staff of Azerbaijan Airlines, the State Civil Aviation Agency of Azerbaijan and the entire Azerbaijani people.
