A number of other military goods have been exempted from VAT and customs duties until 2025: which ones

Ukraine has extended until January 1, 2025, the VAT and customs duty exemption for military goods such as drones and radios to strengthen its defense capabilities.

Today, the VAT and customs duty exemption for certain categories of military goods was extended to make the provision of the Defense Forces with everything they need more efficient. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting, UNN reports.

Strengthening our defense capabilities is constantly on our agenda. Today we are extending the VAT and customs duty exemption until 1 January 2025 for the following categories of goods: drones, optical sights, night vision sights, monoculars and binoculars, portable radios, anti-drone guns and much more. All of this is needed to better equip our Security and Defense Forces

Addendum

The Prime Minister also noted that the government is working to strengthen security in civilian life as well.

For example, in the near future, 500 police officers will serve in educational institutions. They will ensure law enforcement, interaction with school administrations, and access control. Together with the creation of safe and comfortable shelters, this is one of the key elements of improving the safety of the educational process.
