Early in the morning of May 9, a poster depicting the bloodied president of the Russian Federation with the inscription "Putin is a war criminal" was hung on the wall of Narva Castle
The poster was hung on the flag tower of Narva Castle as a reminder of the ongoing war in Ukraine and Russia's war crimes against the Ukrainian people and humanity.
The director of the Narva Museum, Maria Smorževskihh-Smirnova, commented on the appearance of the poster: "The free world calls things by their names. The memory of victory does not give the right to new crimes."
Since the start of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the appearance of posters on May 9 on the wall of Narva Castle has already become a tradition. A poster with similar content is being placed for the fourth time. Previously, such posters were also hung for May 9 – in response to a concert that the Russian authorities hold for their citizens living in Narva.
Last year on May 9, a poster depicting Putin and Hitler was hung, along with the inscription "Putler. War criminal."
Social media reports that on the border with Estonia, the Russian side is also broadcasting a parade and "festive" music for May 9 on a large screen.
In response, Ukraine and EU flags were placed on the Estonian side.
