A gas leak on the third floor of a Kyiv building caused a fire, but there were no casualties.

According to preliminary information, a gas leak occurred on the third floor of a five-story building in the Solomyansky district of Kyiv, with no injuries. This was reported to UNN by Maria Bakardzhieva, a spokeswoman for the Solomyansky Police Department in Kyiv.

"All special services are working at the scene. There was no explosion. At the moment, it has been established that it was a gas leak. The exact cause of the fire is being established at the scene. There were no injuries, an elderly pensioner lived in the apartment. He is fine, doctors are working on him," Bakardzhieva said.

According to her, the incident occurred on the third floor.

"When we noticed smoke from the apartment, we called the State Emergency Service. There was a fire, but the damage was only in the middle of the apartment," Bakardzhieva said.

 In Obukhiv district  of Kyiv region, a gas explosion in a private household building injured two people, one of them  could not be resuscitated.
