During the election of a Roma "baron" in Zakarpattia, a fight broke out between rival clans, killing a 40-year-old local resident. Police detained a 34-year-old man in connection with the fatal incident.
A fatal fight in a village in Zakarpattia region was reported by the Zakarpattia police. At the same time, local media reported that the incident occurred during the election of a new "baron" in a local Roma camp, UNN reports.

Yesterday afternoon, the Transcarpathian police received a report of a fight on a street in the village of Pidvynohradiv, Berehove district. According to local media, an event was taking place there to elect the head of the Roma community. During the event, a showdown broke out between representatives of two rival "clans" within the camp.
Law enforcement officers stopped the disturbance and found that one of the participants in the event fatally injured a 40-year-old local resident.
During the investigation and search operations, a 34-year-old man involved in the beating was detained. Law enforcement officers identified other participants in the fight. Investigative actions are currently underway with them.
