The fatal accident reportedly occurred yesterday on Bohatyrska Street before the curfew. 

 Traffic police found that the 27-year-old driver of the SUV lost control on a curve in the roadway and crashed into a metal fence .

The impact sent a 28-year-old man in the rear passenger seat flying through the window to the side of the road, sustaining life-threatening injuries

- law enforcement officials said. 

As the police found out, the culprit of the accident was in a state of intoxication - the Drager device showed 1.49 ppm.

Vodi was detained. He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 286-1 of the Criminal Code - violation of traffic safety rules by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated, which caused the death of the victim.
