A European Commission spokeswoman said there were no updates on Ukraine's request for 2 million artillery shells.

Ukraine's request for 2 million artillery shells is the focus of the European Commission's work, and this is what they are focused on in terms of "next concrete steps and results." This was stated during a briefing on Friday by European Commission spokeswoman Anita Hipper, UNN writes.

This is really the focus of our work, and it's what we're focusing on in terms of next concrete steps and results, so I need to get back to you as soon as it's available.

"- Hipper said, commenting on whether there is an update on the status of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's request for 2 million artillery shells.

"So, no further details at this time," Paula Pinho European Commission spokeswoman clarified.

Recall

On March 20, at the EU summit, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine needs funds for artillery shells, and Kyiv would be grateful for European support in the amount of at least 5 billion euros in the shortest possible time.

At the same time, Bloomberg reported that discussions in Brussels at the March 20 summit showed that allocating 5 billion euros for the purchase of 2 million artillery shells would be a difficult task. And that the efforts of EU leaders to provide 5 billion euros to provide ammunition for Ukraine this year were delayed by France and Italy.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaya Kallas stated that she still wants the leaders to sign at least part of the plan.
