Lozova

Lozova is a city in the southern part of Kharkiv Oblast, the administrative center of Lozova Raion and the urban hromada. As of October 1, 2025, the population is 71,478 people, making it the second-largest city in the oblast after Kharkiv. The city is located near the source of the Lozova River and has a favorable position at the intersection of important routes.
The history of Lozova begins in 1869 with the establishment of railway stations, which made the city an important railway hub. In the 20th century, Lozova developed as an industrial center, particularly due to the Lozova Forging and Mechanical Plant. In 2020, the Lozova urban hromada was formed, uniting 91 settlements.
