President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg the convening of an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council on April 19 to discuss Ukraine's urgent need for air defense support and ammunition amid Russian attacks.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The head of state said this on his Telegram channel, UNN reports.

The NATO Secretary General confirmed the convening of an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at Ukraine's request. It will be held on April 19 at the level of defense ministers
Zelenskyy also thanked Stoltenberg and partners for their quick response. According to him, Ukraine needs immediate steps to strengthen its air defense.
The parties also discussed Russia's morning missile strikes on Chernihiv and the supply of shells to Ukraine
