President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated servicemen on the Day of the Naval Forces of Ukraine. In his address, the head of state thanked the military sailors, marines, ship crews, coastal units and everyone serving in the Navy, reports UNN.

It is thanks to your courage that our maritime space remains under Ukrainian control, the southern regions have protection from Russian attacks, and the marines, together with other units of the Defense Forces, are holding back the occupier on the most difficult sections of the front
The President also emphasized the role of the Marine Corps, which, together with other units of the Defense Forces, is holding back Russian troops on the most difficult sections of the front.
The Ukrainian Navy has proven to the whole world that strength is not always measured by the number of ships or resources. Professionalism, determination and devotion to one's country have yielded results that all of Ukraine is proud of. We will continue to strengthen our fleet, marine corps and all Navy capabilities. And most importantly - we remember everyone who gave their lives for Ukraine. Eternal honor to our heroes. Thank you to everyone who defends our state. Happy Day of the Naval Forces of Ukraine!

On the first Sunday of July, Ukraine honors the warriors of the Naval Forces and workers of the sea and river fleet. Also, July 5 marks the Day of the Bikini and Workaholics Day.
