Zelenskyy calls on German Chancellor to discuss defense support for Ukraine

The President of Ukraine had a phone conversation with the Chancellor of Germany. They discussed the situation on the frontline, the needs of the Armed Forces, financing of defense support and the use of frozen Russian assets.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Zelensky told Scholz about the situation on the front line and the current needs of the Defense Forces. The President wrote about this in Telegram, UNN reports.
We spoke on the phone with Olaf Scholz. He thanked Germany for two and a half years of leadership. It is very important for us to have reliable friends who will be with us until a just and lasting peace is achieved
Zelenskyy told Scholz about the situation on the front line and the current needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, in particular in armored vehicles and air defense systems.
They also reportedly discussed the continuation of funding for defense support for Ukraine and the use of frozen Russian assets, as well as cooperation and further contacts within the Ramstein framework.
In addition, Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to Germany over the tragedy in Solingen, Germany, during the August 23 festival.
