Where can students from the occupied territories live during the admission campaign - the Ombudsman's response

Applicants from the temporarily occupied territories who wish to study at Ukrainian universities will be provided with accommodation in the dormitories of 195 higher education institutions during the admission campaign with the support of the Donbas-Ukraine and Crimea-Ukraine educational centers.
This year, applicants from the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) who have expressed a desire to study at Ukrainian universities will be able to live in dormitories in the government-controlled territories during the admission campaign. Places for their accommodation have been provided on the basis of 195 higher education institutions, said Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets, UNN reports.

According to the official, dormitories for applicants from the TOT will be provided on the basis of the Donbas-Ukraine and Crimea-Ukraine educational centers.

There, applicants will be able to spend the time of the admission campaign together with their accompanying persons. Local experts will provide the necessary support and assistance on the ground.
"You will be able to focus on preparing for admission, living in comfortable conditions, communicating with other applicants and students," the ombudsman added.
