Ukrainian prisoners released from Russian captivity face serious health problems, including weight problems, untreated injuries, cancer and tuberculosis, which require a long process of rehabilitation and recovery.

The Ukrainians returned from Russian captivity have weight problems, complications from injuries that were not properly treated, and there is also a cancer patient and a tuberculosis patient. All of them are facing a long process of rehabilitation and recovery. This was stated by a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov during a telethon, UNN reports .

There are problems with weight, one defender has cancer, one has tuberculosis, there are complications after injuries that were not treated properly. Everyone is being provided with the necessary assistance and will have a long process of recovery and rehabilitation

He also noted that law enforcement officers will communicate with the released prisoners to find out the conditions of their stay in captivity.

"Our task is to increase international pressure to improve the conditions of Ukrainians in captivity. Few people could have imagined such conditions as Ukraine provides to Russian prisoners. And we demand the same treatment for our prisoners

Another 95 Ukrainian defenders, including soldiers, members of the National Guard and border guards, were released from Russian captivity thanks to the mediation efforts of the United Arab Emirates. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that we are looking for everyone who may be captured.
