A deal with Iran could reduce regional tensions without changing the country's political regime. The document would restore shipping but will not resolve key contradictions.

The war of the US and Israel against Iran may end in a temporary agreement that will not lead to a final resolution of the conflict. Despite significant losses, Tehran is likely to maintain its political system and the influence of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This is reported by Reuters, according to UNN.

According to sources familiar with the negotiations, a deal is currently being discussed that would reduce tensions in the region and restore safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, it will not provide for the resolution of key contradictions between the parties.
Analysts and diplomats note that Iran is emerging from the conflict with significant economic losses and a weakened military-industrial base. However, the leadership role of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps within the country may only strengthen. The potential deal is also expected to help ease pressure on global energy and financial markets.
Former senior US diplomat Dennis Ross believes that the results of the campaign so far do not provide grounds to speak of strategic success.
"There were extraordinary tactical military successes and no fundamental strategic gains. There is not a single closed case,"
According to expert estimates, even if agreements are reached in the near future, they will be more in the nature of a temporary truce than a long-term peace.
