Ukrainians spend massive amounts of “Winter eSupport” funds: what the money goes for

In the first few days of the Winter eHelp program, Ukrainians spent UAH 720 million, 63% of which was spent on utilities. The total number of applications for assistance reached 6.9 million, including 1.9 million for children.
Ukrainians spent two-thirds of the Winter eSupport funds on utilities. They also spent most of their money on mobile phone recharges and donations. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Ministry of Economy.
In total, Ukrainians spent about UAH 720 million in the first days of the transfer of funds.The main items of expenditure were:
- communal services - 63%;
- mobile communications - 17%;
- donations - 4%.
Currently, the number of applications for Winter eSupport in Diia has reached 6.9 million, including 1.9 million for children.

EasyPay service has disabled the “refund” function for Vodafone and Life subscribers because people started to replenish their personal accounts with Winter eSupport funds and then withdraw them in cash.
