Ukrainians are asked to save electricity from 4:00 PM amid rising consumption without schedules

No power outage schedules are forecast, but consumption is growing and savings should be made during the evening peak consumption starting at 4 p.m.; some residents of six regions were left without power due to enemy attacks, with the most difficult situation in Donetsk region, the Ministry of Energy and NPC "Ukrenergo" stated on Friday, reports UNN.

Enemy attacks

As a result of hostilities and shelling of energy infrastructure, it is stated that "some consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions are temporarily without electricity supply."

"The most difficult situation is in Donetsk region. Here, due to damage to energy facilities as a result of hostilities and enemy shelling, the largest number of consumers have been cut off," the Ministry of Energy noted.

Energy workers are working to restore power to Ukrainian homes as quickly as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock, the ministry stated.

Will there be schedules

"No restrictions are forecast for today," the Ministry of Energy reported.

According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption is showing an upward trend. Today, July 3, as of 09:30, it was 7.9% higher than at the same time the previous day – Thursday. The reason for the changes is cloudy weather with rain in part of the western and central regions. This reduces the efficiency of household solar power plants and, accordingly, increases the volume of electricity consumption from the general grid. Yesterday, July 2, the daily consumption peak was recorded in the evening. It was 4.4% higher than the peak of the previous day – Wednesday, July 1. The reason is the absence of forced consumption restriction measures, Ukrenergo noted.

"Active energy consumption today should be shifted to daytime – from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In the evening hours, we ask consumers, if possible, to use electricity sparingly – from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This helps reduce the load on the system," the Ministry of Energy emphasized.
