The Ukrainians - Oleh Kukharyk, Dmytro Danylenko, Ihor Trunov, and Ivan Semykin - came fourth in their semifinal race with a time of 1:20.67 minutes.
The Australians were the first in the race with a time of 1:19.22 minutes, which became an Olympic record.
