The Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly used British Challenger 2 tanks during an offensive in the Kursk region of Russia. This may be the first time that these tanks have been used by Ukrainian troops in Russia.

It is noted that the UK has confirmed that Ukraine can freely use British weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation, in accordance with government policy. The TV channel's source said that this applies to Challenger 2 tanks and indicated that they were used during the Ukrainian operation that began on August 6.
Details on how and when Ukrainian troops deployed Challenger 2 tanks in the Kursk region of Russia are not known. Nor is it known how many tanks were involved in the breakthrough.
