Ukrainian defense forces have destroyed a bridge over the Seim River near Glushkovo in the Kursk region of Russia. This was done to disrupt Russian logistical routes and isolate part of the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian defense forces, which control part of the Kursk region of Russia, destroyed a bridge over the Seim River near the village of Glushkovo. This was reported by the Russian media, UNN reports.

Details

It is noted that the bridge was destroyed with missiles in order to destroy Russian logistics routes and cut off the Hlushkivsky district from the border to the Seim River.

Analysts add that in order to completely isolate the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Russia, two more bridges need to be destroyed  - in Zvanoye and Karyzha.

The Russian media are already spreading information about attempts to hit the bridge near Zvannoye.

Lieutenant Colonel Matthias Puusepp, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Estonian Defense Forces, said that Ukraine was able to conceal its plans to prepare for the operation in the Kursk region, which resulted in the effect of surprise. In view of this, Russia is currently unable to launch a counteroffensive in the Kursk region.
