Ukraine's Foreign Ministry confirms its need for German Taurus missiles and continues its dialogue with Germany to obtain them. Germany remains the second largest supplier of military aid after the United States.

Ukraine's position  remains unchanged regarding the need for German Taurus missiles. Kyiv remains in contact with the German side on this issue and continues to convey its position. This was stated by Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi during a briefing, UNN reports.

"We call on all states that have long-range capabilities to provide them to Ukraine with permission to use them as necessary to protect life. This is not about Ukraine taking over Russia. We are defending ourselves from aggression, and there may be restrictions on the protection of life from terror. That is why we call on all partners, not only the United States, but also France and Britain, who provide Storm Shadow and SCALP," Tychy said.

According to him, Ukraine continues to  emphasize that German Taurus missiles  would also be very useful and necessary for the Ukrainian Defense Forces to effectively counter the enemy.

"These are very high-quality missiles, they have a number of advantages over other long-range missiles. Our position remains the same - we need these weapons. We remain in contact with the German side on this issue and continue to convey our position. There were warnings from their side, some counterarguments, but in our opinion, this is quite legitimate. It does not make Germany a party to the war in any way," emphasized Tychy.

He emphasized that it is important for Ukraine to continue to receive support from Germany.

"We are now seeing the development of the situation in Germany with the coalition, and we are watching this situation closely. I would just like to emphasize that the most important thing for us in all of this is simply to continue Germany's support, including financing the supply of weapons. Germany is the second largest provider of military assistance to Ukraine after the United States. But we are convinced that it is in the interests of all parties, the entire German society, that Ukraine is strong and armed," Tychy said.
