Russia's two largest grain terminals at the port of Novorossiysk suspended operations after overnight drone strikes. The Demetra and NKHP terminals were damaged, and an assessment of the damage is underway.
The two largest Russian grain terminals in the Russian southern port of Novorossiysk suspended operations following overnight drone strikes, Reuters reported on Wednesday, citing four industry sources, writes UNN.

One industry source said that the grain terminal in Novorossiysk, with an export capacity of 8.5 million metric tons per year, had suspended operations and that damage was currently being assessed. A spokesperson for the Demetra holding company, which owns the terminal, only said that the terminal had sustained unspecified damage and declined to comment further.
NKHP, another major grain terminal in Novorossiysk with an export capacity of 7.1 million metric tons per year, was also damaged and suspended operations, three industry sources told Reuters. OZK, its main owner, said that it had been damaged and that no one had been injured. The statement said that additional information would be provided when it became available.
In addition to grain export terminals, Novorossiysk also hosts oil export infrastructure, including that of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), which is partly owned by the U.S. oil giants Chevron and Exxon and exports Kazakh oil to the market.
On Wednesday, the FT reported that Ukraine had halted its strikes on tankers serving the CPC following a request from U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance.
"There are no indications that the CPC or the tankers collecting oil from the pipeline were hit during the overnight attacks," Reuters said.
