Top 10 series to watch in 2025

The year 2025 promises to be a landmark year for TV series fans, as many long-awaited premieres and continuations of cult projects will be released. "Venzday" season 2

Release date: August-September 2025

The second season of Veep was announced on January 6, 2023. However, its release was delayed due to a number of factors, including the employment of actors and strikes by writers and actors in the United States. The lead actress, Jenna Ortega, received many new offers after the success of the series, which made planning difficult.

The writers' strike that lasted from May to September 2023 also affected production. According to Deadline, filming of the second season began in April 2024 and will take place in Ireland instead of Romania for logistical reasons.

The second season is expected to premiere in August-September 2025

"White Lotus" season 3

HBO's Max streaming service has presented the first teaser for the third season of the popular TV series The White Lotus, which will be set in Thailand.

"Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Boundary Knight" season 1

HBO streaming service has released a short trailer for the series Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which will take place 90 years before the plot of Game of Thrones. 

The series will be based on George Martin's cycle of novels about the adventures of the knight Dunk the High and his squire Egg, who hides his descent from the Targaryen family. The first season adapts the short story "The Boundary Knight". If successful, it is planned to adapt the novels "The Sworn Knight" and "The Mysterious Knight".

The first season will consist of six episodes, which are scheduled to premiere in late 2025. Peter Clafey and Dexter Saul Ansell play the lead roles.

Stranger Things, season 5 (final)

The final season of the popular series Stranger Things is scheduled for 2025 and will consist of eight episodes. This season will be the final chord of the fantastic story.

Production on the fifth season officially began in January 2024. The titles of the episodes are already known: The Crawl, The Vanishing of..., The Turnbow Trap, Sorcerer, Shock Jock, Escape From Camazotz, The Bridge, and The Rightside Up.

The political thriller starring Robert De Niro will be released on February 20. The series tells the story of George Mullen, a former US president who heads a commission to investigate a major cyberattack.

"Squid Game" season 3 (final)

Release date: mid-2025

The popular series will get its third and final season. Filming lasted from July 2024 to June 2025, and the premiere is scheduled for mid-2025. The plot details are still unknown. Meanwhile, the premiere of the second season of The Squid Game is approaching, which will take place on December 26.
