Since the beginning of the day, 88 combat engagements have taken place on the front, more than the day before. The most active battles continue in the Pokrovsk and Sloviansk directions.
88 battles have occurred on the front since the beginning of today, which is more than the day before, half of them in two directions - Pokrovsk and Sloviansk, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a statement at 4:00 p.m. on July 7, UNN writes.
Since the beginning of the day, the aggressor has attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 88 times
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in the Sumy region, the settlements of Korenyok, Ryzhivka, Volfyne, Hirky, Yastrubshchyna, Tovstodubove, Kucherivka, Sopych, Bachivsk were affected; in the Chernihiv region – Klyusy, Semenivka, and Buchky. Khutir-Mykhailivskyi was subjected to an air strike.
Situation by directions
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the occupiers carried out 30 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops, including two from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the invaders tried seven times to break through the defense in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia, Lyman, Artilne, and towards the settlement of Khatnie.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out one attack towards the settlement of Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled seven attempts by the invaders to advance towards the settlements of Borova, Lyman, Ozerne, Dibrova. One attack is ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 16 enemy attacks towards the settlements of Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and in the area of Riznykivka and Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, no offensive actions by the enemy were recorded.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, our defenders repelled nine attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia; two attacks are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have tried 29 times to dislodge our soldiers from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivka, Dorozhnie, Hryshyne, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, and towards the settlements of Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Myrne, Serhiivka. Two combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy tried four times to advance in the area of Kalynivske and towards Verbove.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled 15 enemy attacks towards the settlements of Dobropillia, Hirke, Tsvitkove, Staroukrainka, Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, Charivne. Two combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi directions, no offensive actions by the enemy were recorded.
In other directions, no significant changes in the situation are currently occurring. No attempts by the enemy to advance were recorded.
Ukrainian troops are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of combat contact and in the rear.
