The Ukrainian national futsal team defeated Cyprus (11:1) and qualified for Euro 2026, as Romania lost to Germany. The European Championship will be held in Latvia and Lithuania from January 20 to February 7, 2026.
The Ukrainian futsal team has qualified for Euro 2026 thanks to a victory over the Cypriot national team (11:1) and Romania's defeat to Germany. This was reported by the Futsal Association of Ukraine, reports UNN.
The Ukrainian national team has qualified for Euro 2026. Our main rival, Romania, lost to Germany, which guaranteed Ukraine a direct ticket to the European Championship. Today, April 11, the Ukrainian national futsal team defeated the Cypriot national team (11:1), and the Romanian national team lost to Germany - 2:1. Thus, Ukraine took first place with 15 points with one round to go before the end of the qualifying round.
The winner of the group will receive a direct ticket to Euro 2026. Also, the eight best teams that finished second in the groups will qualify for the play-offs for a place in the continental championship.
Lithuania and Latvia will host the European Championship. The competition will be held from January 20 to February 7, 2026. This will be the second futsal Euro with the participation of 16 national teams.
