The Russian Defense Ministry announced a massive strike on military targets in Ukraine. At the same time, nine people were killed and 46 injured in Kyiv as a result of the attack.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, after a massive nighttime attack, cynically stated that it had struck exclusively at enterprises of the military-industrial complex, fuel and energy infrastructure facilities, and military airfields in Ukraine. At the same time, in Kyiv, as a result of the Russian shelling, the deaths of nine people have already been confirmed, dozens more have been injured, and the rescue operation is ongoing, reports UNN.

Despite these statements, the consequences of the attack indicate strikes on civilian infrastructure. In the capital, destruction of multi-story residential buildings, large-scale fires, and damage in several districts of the city have been recorded.
According to the latest data from the city authorities, nine people died as a result of the Russian attack, another 46 were injured, including five children. Search and rescue operations at the impact sites are ongoing, so the number of victims may increase.
