The acting so-called "Minister of Infrastructure and Transport" of the terrorist organization "Luhansk People's Republic" has been charged in absentia with collaborationism and voluntary work for the occupiers.

This is reported by UNN with reference to the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Details

A resident of the city of Luhansk, against the background of the capture of certain districts of Donbas by Russians and pro-Russian militants in 2014, began to cooperate with the aggressor. He held the position of "Director of the Luhansk Railway", and was later appointed to the position of "Acting Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of the LNR".

He has been notified in absentia of suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Voluntary occupation of a position in illegal authorities created in the temporarily occupied territory). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of ten to twelve years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of ten to fifteen years.
