On the night of July 6, Russian troops attacked the capital with cruise and ballistic missiles. Destruction of residential buildings, fires, and damage to civilian infrastructure were recorded in various districts of the city.
Later, Tkachenko wrote: "As of 5:20, the number of wounded is 24 people. Meanwhile, rescuers have freed two more bodies from under the rubble. Thus, the number of victims has increased to seven."
Rescuers continue to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and clear the rubble. Earlier, seven injured people were reported, as well as the evacuation of residents from a damaged multi-story building in the Podilskyi district.
