The Ministry of defense allowed the Ukrainian tower for M113 to be used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ukrainian modification of the turret module for the M113 armored personnel carrier has been codified and approved for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The new armored turret protects against bullets and debris, can be installed on all modifications of the M113.
By the decision of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine, the Ukrainian modification of the module-tower for American production M113 was codified and approved for operation in the Defense Forces of Ukraine. This was stated in the Ministry of Defense, reports UNN.
Details
The Ministry of Defense said that the new armored turret of domestic development can be installed on M113 armored personnel carriers of all modifications.
The design protects the turret shooter from small arms bullets and heavy machine guns, and also protects it from ammunition debris
The ministry reminds that to fire at ground and air targets, a 12.7 mm M2 (Browning) machine gun is installed on the turret of the M113 tracked armored personnel carrier.
Optionally, the M113 can also be equipped with an automatic grenade launcher MK 19 abo protitankovi complex M47 Dragon i BGM-71 TOW.
