The head of a department of the State Geocadastre is suspected of providing $30,000 in undue advantage to an official of the NACP. He was detained after handing over the funds in Kyiv on July 27, 2026.

The head of one of the Main Departments of the State Geocadastre has been notified of suspicion of providing USD 30,000 in undue advantage to an official of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, writes UNN.
Details
According to the investigation, with this money he tried to obtain a positive conclusion regarding the lifestyle monitoring that NAPC was conducting against him within the framework of criminal proceedings.
The official feared that the inspection could reveal a discrepancy between his actual standard of living and the information stated in his declarations.
Through an intermediary, he arranged a meeting with the head of one of the NAPC departments and offered USD 30,000 for the completion of the monitoring without negative conclusions, a statement of no violations of anti-corruption legislation, and non-transfer of materials to law enforcement agencies.
On July 27, 2026, in Kyiv, the official personally handed over the agreed amount. He hid the money in a cardboard tube from a bottle of alcoholic beverage.
Immediately after handing over the funds, he was detained.
Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General, investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the SBI notified the official of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, providing undue advantage to an official holding a responsible position.
A motion is being prepared for the court to select a preventive measure in the form of detention.
