On Monday, the European Union plans to approve the 15th package of sanctions aimed at increasing pressure on Russia over its war against Ukraine. The new restrictions are focused on combating the circumvention of sanctions, in particular through the use of the so-called "shadow fleet" of tankers.
According to sources, dozens of ships involved in illegal operations of transporting oil at low prices or transporting weapons will be deprived of access to European ports and services of European companies.
In addition, the sanctions will affect the participation of foreign mercenaries, including soldiers from North Korea, who are involved in the war on the side of terrorists.
The sanctions list is expected to include the names of those responsible for hybrid attacks for the first time.
