"The case is under the control of the Ukrainian embassy": MFA spokesperson on the body of a 13-year-old Ukrainian found in Spain

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine commented on reports of the discovery of the body of a 13-year-old Ukrainian in Badajoz, Spain.

MFA spokesperson Heorhiy Tykhyi stated that the diplomatic department received information about this event and is currently verifying it, UNN correspondent reports.

Indeed, we saw media reports that the body of a 13-year-old Ukrainian, who disappeared the day before, was found in the center of Badajoz, Spain. We are aware of this. The Embassy of Ukraine in Spain has sent an inquiry to the competent authorities of Spain to confirm this situation, which we saw in the media. This case is under the control of the Embassy of Ukraine in Spain, and when there is additional information, we will inform you.

On March 24, the body of Ukrainian boy Taras, who had disappeared, was found in the Spanish city of Badajoz: he was 13 years old at the time of his death.

According to his mother, the day before, the teenager went for a walk but did not take his documents or money with him. When the teenager did not return home, his relatives contacted the police.
