The 55th exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and Russia took place on Independence Day. 115 Ukrainian defenders returned home, bringing the total number of people released from captivity to 3,520.
Today, on August 24, the 55th exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine took place, thanks to which 3,520 Ukrainians have been returned from Russian captivity. This was announced by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, UNN reports.

115 Ukrainians returned home on Independence Day. These are the defenders who have been defending our country in various areas. Among them are soldiers of the National Guard, the Armed Forces, the Navy, and the State Border Guard Service. Many of the returnees have serious health conditions.
