Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the outcome of negotiations with the United States will depend on whether Washington refrains from "excessive demands" and "illegal requests." This is reported by AFP, writes UNN.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated that the success of the diplomatic process depends on the "seriousness and good faith" of the American side. According to him, the US must avoid demands that Tehran considers unacceptable and recognize "Iran's legitimate rights and interests."
According to Iranian sources, the parties discussed a number of key issues, including the situation around the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's nuclear program, war reparations, the lifting of sanctions, and a complete cessation of the war.
The April 12 negotiations have concluded for now, but are expected to resume later on Sunday.
