The European Commission called for the unblocking of all Polish-Ukrainian border crossings, emphasizing the negative impact of the blockade on the economy and supply chains.

The European Commission welcomed the reopening of the Dorohusk-Yahodyn border crossing point, but called for the rest of the Polish-Ukrainian border crossing points to be unblocked. This was reported by UNN with reference to the statement of the European Commissioner for Transport Adina Veljan, which was published on the website of the European Commission.

I welcome the reopening of the Dorohusk-Yahodyn border crossing for freight transport, the most important border crossing between Poland and Ukraine. Its blockade since November 6 has had significant consequences for Ukraine, Poland and the EU, but above all for all drivers who have been blocked

- said the European Commissioner.

According to her, over the past month, the European Commission has repeatedly communicated directly with protesters and national authorities and proposed ways to facilitate the process of crossing the border between Ukraine and Poland.

"At the same time, we remain concerned that the other three border crossings between Poland and Ukraine are still blocked," Vela said.

She called on national and local authorities to take the necessary measures to ensure that goods can pass through the EU's external borders.

I want to remind all stakeholders of the damage these protests are causing to the European economy, supply chains, other road transport operators and Ukraine, a country at war. The remaining border crossing points should be unblocked without delay

- the European Commissioner said.

Addendum
