Shmyhal discusses strengthening of Ukraine's air defense with Lithuanian Prime Minister

Prime Minister Shmyhal and Lithuanian Prime Minister Šimonite discussed air defense and other aspects of defense, as well as talks on Euro-Atlantic integration and Ukraine's reconstruction with Lithuanian support.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal discussed with Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrid Šimonite the strengthening of defense capabilities, in particular, the strengthening of air defense, UNN reports.

We are always glad to welcome Prime Minister Ingrid Šimonite and our Lithuanian friends to Ukraine. We discussed the strengthening of our defense capabilities, in particular, the strengthening of air defense, as well as the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The conversation focused on energy security, restoration of justice, and confiscation of frozen Russian assets

He expressed gratitude to the Lithuanian government for supporting the Ukrainian position that Ukraine's reconstruction should take place right now.

"Today, Lithuania is already restoring some of our social facilities. A separate set of issues is the promotion of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic and European integration. We have the full support of the Lithuanian Government in both directions," Shmyhal said.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and his Lithuanian counterpart Ingrida Šimonite signed a joint statement on cooperation in the restoration of Ukraine and an agreement on technical and financial cooperation.
