SBC Ukraine Awards 2024: focus on sports, marketing and creativity

Ukrainian Fencing Federation - “Sports Organization of the Year” according to SBC Ukraine Awards 2024

On December 15, a historic event for Ukrainian sports marketing took place in Kyiv - the SBC Ukraine Awards ceremony. This is an award that brings together the best athletes, coaches, managers, journalists, and patrons of the sports industry and recognizes the best innovative projects and key figures in sports marketing.  

The ceremony was hosted by a quartet of well-known Ukrainian television personalities: Oleksiy Dushka, host of the morning show “Wake Up” on the TV channel “We are Ukraine+”, Oleh Panyuta and Yulia Galushka, hosts of information and analytical projects on the TV channel “We are Ukraine”, Oleksandra Kucherenko, host of the MEGOGO media service, sports journalist, Miss Ukraine.

The award ceremony took place at the Kyiv Event Hall by Ramada Encore. For two months, all representatives of the sports community had the opportunity to submit their own cases. This year, awards were presented in more than 20 categories, including: “Creative of the Year, Charity Project of the Year, Sports Journalist of the Year, Event of the Year, Athlete of the Year, and others. The jury consisted of more than 60 experts from various fields, including well-known athletes, marketers, and media professionals.

“It was a remarkable year for Ukrainian sports, rich in high-profile events, great victories and excellent examples of business and sports cooperation. I am grateful to our jury for their impartial judging and sincerely congratulate the winners on their well-deserved awards!” said Oleksiy Braga, CEO of Sport&Business Club Ukraine.

Boxer Oleksandr Usyk was named Sportsman of the Year at the SBC Ukraine Awards 2024, and fencer Olga Harlan was named Best Female Athlete, and she also received the Creative of the Year award for her collaboration with Playboy magazine. The judges recognized the historic bronze medals won by the Ukrainian team at the Futsal World Cup as the event of the year. The jury named the website of FC Kryvbas the best sports organization website, and the Ukrainian Fencing Federation was recognized as the Sports Organization of the Year. 

Olga Harlan - “Athlete of the Year” according to SBC Ukraine Awards 2024 

The winner in the category that recognizes the most influential and creative marketing campaigns was the Ukrainian company FAVBET with its sponsorship project “The Game Reveals You”. The award also went to CS2 team FAVBET Team, which became the Esports Organization of the Year.

Several important social projects were also recognized at the awards. At the SBC Ukraine Awards 2024, the Aerial Reconnaissance League by the UPL and 1+1 was recognized as the best social project of the year, and the #BattleForLight project DTEK's “#BattleForLight” project, held jointly with Oleksandr Usyk, received a special award for “Recognition of the Year”.
