Russian attack on Pechenihy reservoir dam during flood - video of the strike emerges
Kyiv • UNN
The occupiers struck the dam with six KABs to cause ecocide and flooding. The hydraulic structure is undamaged, and water discharge continues as planned.

The Russian military's strike on the Pechenihy Reservoir dam is cynical, as it occurred during the spring flood. This also indicates that the Kremlin continues to adhere to the shameful practice of ecocide. This is reported by UNN with reference to the 16th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Details
As noted by the corps, the timing of the attack demonstrates the particular cynicism of the occupiers.
The enemy is trying to take advantage of the moment when the maximum volume of water has accumulated in the reservoir due to the spring flood. The destruction of the dam right now, during the period of "high water," would lead to catastrophic consequences for communities downstream, causing large-scale flooding and an ecological disaster.
The enemy, having failed to achieve success physically, switched to an information and psychological attack. In addition, fakes about damage to the dam and alleged emergency water discharge are being spread on Russian-controlled public pages.
A video of the strike on the dam appeared online.
In fact, the dam was not damaged, and the water discharge is carried out in a planned, controlled mode.
Recall
Earlier, UNN reported that in the Kharkiv region, Russian troops attacked the Pechenihy dam with 6 KABs - a critically important object that forms one of the largest reservoirs. At the same time, the enemy attacked Kharkiv with Shahed and Molniya type drones.
