In 2027, Ukraine will launch a historic education reform. Under the new rules, students will have the opportunity to choose their own path of study, courses and subjects. Schools will provide high-quality career guidance, taking into account the individual needs of students.
Pilot projects will begin in 2025, which will be a prerequisite for the implementation of innovations. The first 25 general secondary education institutions have already been identified for advance preparation for piloting. These schools will become mentors for other institutions that will join the reform.
In preparation for the introduction of the new system, a two-day forum "Reforming Senior Specialized Secondary Education (Academic Lyceums)" will be held.
Forum speakers will discuss practical aspects of implementing specialized education, in particular:
- The concept of specialized education reform.
- Organizing specialized training in other countries.
- Ways to personalize the educational trajectory of students.
- Career counseling and its organization.
- Opportunities for cooperation between schools and higher education institutions.
