Reinforced police patrols to be deployed in Kyiv on New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve, police will be deployed in Kyiv to ensure law and order. Law enforcement officials remind of the curfew and the ban on pyrotechnics.
On New Year's Eve, law and order in the capital will be ensured by reinforced police units. UNN reports this with reference to the Kyiv police.
"Law enforcement officers will be on duty on the night of December 31-January 1 as part of foot and car patrols. The work of law enforcement officers is aimed at preventing and deterring the commission of criminal and administrative offenses, preventing and suppressing hooliganism, and ensuring public safety and order," the statement said.
In turn, the police are urging citizens to observe the curfew, which is in effect from 00:00 to 05:00, not to use pyrotechnics, which is a criminal offense, and not to ignore air raid warnings.

The head of the Department of Preventive Activities of the National Police, Maksym Akhrameyev , statedthat law enforcement officers would detain and bring to the police stations to clarify the circumstances of people who would be on the streets during the curfew on New Year's Eve.
