Regions reported easing of outage schedules: what is expected

Schedules of power outages for August 20 have been changed in a number of regions of Ukraine. Instead of the announced two phases, only one phase of outages is planned from 17:00 to 18:00 in most regions.

The schedules of power outages have been softened today. As reported by regional power companies in a number of regions, only one round of blackouts is planned from 17:00 to 18:00, instead of the previously announced two, UNN reports.

Khmelnytsky region

"According to the order of NPC Ukrenergo, today, 20.08.2024, from 17:00 to 18:00, only one line, the third one, will be de-energized. The fourth stage will not be limited during this period of time," Khmelnytskoblenergo reported. 

Volyn region

"NPC Ukrenergo has reduced the volume of electricity consumption restrictions. The outage has been canceled according to the schedule for August 20 for the 3rd stage from 17:00 to 18:00," Volynoblenergo said in a statement.

Kirovohrad region

"There have been changes in the schedules of hourly power outages for August 20. Stage 1: 18-20, 2nd stage: 18-20, 3rd stage: 22-23, 4th stage: 16-18, 5 stage: 20-22, 6th line: 20-22," said Andriy Raykovych, head of the Kirovohrad RMA, on Telegram.

Lviv region

According to Lvivoblenergo, the updated schedule of power outages in Lviv region today provides for only one round of outages from 17:00 to 18:00. 

Cherkasy region

"Cherkasy region. Updated information from power engineers as of today, August 20. In particular, the number of queues for shutdowns from 17:00 to 18:00 has been reduced," said Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA.

Zaporizhzhia region

"Hourly outages schedules for August 20 have been mitigated. By Ukrenergo's instruction, only one stage of the GDS will be in operation from 17:00 to 18:00. In this regard, the duration of the outage for the fourth stage has been reduced by one hour. The rest of the schedule for the other stages is currently unchanged," Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo said.
