Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has signed a decree increasing the size of the Russian army by 7,360 military personnel. This is reported by UNN with reference to a statement from the aggressor country's Ministry of Defense.
Details
According to the decree, the total authorized strength of the Russian army has been set at 2,399,130 people, of whom 1,510,000 are military personnel.
The Government of the Russian Federation is to provide for the allocation of budget appropriations from the federal budget to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation necessary for the implementation of paragraph 1 of this Decree
Putin also ordered to repeal the decree of March 4, 2026, according to which the number of Russian military personnel was 1,502,640.
