Real Madrid left-back Marc Cucurella fulfilled his promise and got a tattoo of Luis de la Fuente after Spain's victory at the 2026 World Cup. The footballer posted a photo of the tattoo on Instagram, showing the coach holding the World Cup.

He published a photo of a new tattoo on his arm depicting the head coach of the Spanish national team, Luis de la Fuente, done by renowned tattoo artist Joaquín Ganga, known for his work with celebrities.
The tattoo shows de la Fuente in a suit holding the World Cup. The background also features the World Cup logo.
Before the start of the tournament, Cucurella promised to get a tattoo with a portrait of the coach if the Spanish national team became world champions. After the victory, he confirmed his intention to keep his word, and de la Fuente jokingly reminded the player of his promise.
"If you make a promise, you have to keep it. Besides, I don't look that scary," said de la Fuente after the final.
Additionally, before the start of the World Cup, Cucurella promised to end his career if "La Roja" won the World Cup trophy.
"If Spain wins the World Cup, the next day I will call Luis de la Fuente and end my career with the national team. After winning the 2024 European Championship and the World Cup, there is nothing more to wish for," said Cucurella.
