Penny Pritzker resigns as US Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery due to term limits. Her duties will be taken over by Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma, who will continue to support Ukraine.
As the US Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery Penny Pritzker resigns from her post, she will be replaced by Under Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma. This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, UNN reports.

Blinken explained that Pritzker's tenure is limited by the rules to a one-year term, but the work she has started will continue.
Under Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma will continue to serve as part of the U.S. effort to support Ukraine's economic recovery

Blinken noted the active work of Penny Pritzker during the year in this position and reminded that she had visited Kyiv six times.
Among the achievements of the official, the Secretary of State noted
- 9 billion in economic assistance to Ukraine in the latest funding package approved by the United States;
- its role in launching an advisory group under the G7 donor coordination platform for Ukraine;
- support for economic reforms in Ukraine, which were supposed to facilitate private sector investment.
Blinken also mentioned the launch of the Deal Team defense industrial base to facilitate joint projects between the Ukrainian and American defense industries; work with private sector companies to introduce war-related insurance options to the market.
