Enemy attack on emergency services: in the first minutes after the strike, Kyiv police officers came under repeated enemy shelling
Details
Three special forces officers of Police Regiment No. 1, as reported, arrived at the scene of the missile attack in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv to provide assistance to the victims together with medics. Just a few minutes later, the shelling repeated. This happened precisely when emergency services were working at the scene.
"One of the law enforcement officers sustained a shrapnel wound to the leg from the ballistic missile strike. His comrades applied a tourniquet to the injured person, and since the service vehicle was damaged, the police officers asked for help from a passerby, who drove the wounded law enforcement officer to the hospital in his own car," the police said.
According to the police, he is currently in the hospital after a complex operation. Two other special forces officers were hospitalized with concussions.
"This case once again proves: the enemy deliberately targets those who save lives. Despite the danger and the risk of repeated strikes, law enforcement officers continue to serve and help citizens in the most difficult moments," the police emphasized.
Recall
