Police in Olsztyn, Poland, investigate brutal beating of Ukrainian teenager – media

In the Polish city of Olsztyn, police are investigating an incident involving the possible beating or violation of the physical integrity of a minor citizen of Ukraine. This was reported by inpoland.net.pl, according to UNN.

It is noted that, according to official information from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Olsztyn, the incident may have occurred during the May holidays in the Old Town area. Procedural and operational-search activities are currently being conducted in the case. Criminal police are reconstructing the course of events and identifying all participants in the incident.

The publication indicates that information about the attack had previously begun to spread on social media. It concerns two brothers from Ukraine, aged 12 and 14. It is alleged that the younger boy, along with a friend, approached a group of Polish girls to introduce themselves.

Following this, a verbal dispute arose between the teenagers, and the girls allegedly began to insult and jostle the boys. When the 14-year-old brother stepped in to protect the younger one, one of the girls reportedly struck him in the face. Later, according to the authors of the posts, the girls called older male acquaintances, aged approximately 20–30. Subsequently, as alleged on social media, the group brutally beat the 14-year-old boy

The posts also mention threats, humiliation, and insults based on the children's Ukrainian origin. Specifically, it is claimed that the boy was forced to kneel and kiss shoes, and was also threatened with being "taken away in a trunk."
