On Sunday, Russian authorities reported that the NORSI oil refinery caught fire as a result of a drone attack. Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Governor Gleb Nikitin stated that two facilities at the plant were hit during the attack, and the power plant and several buildings were also damaged.
According to the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange, Lukoil did not offer gasoline, diesel fuel, or fuel oil from the refinery, located 450 km east of Moscow, for sale.
Reuters industry sources said on Tuesday that supplies could be suspended until the end of April.
The NORSI plant, which is also Russia's second-largest gasoline producer, can process 16 million metric tons of oil per year, or about 320,000 barrels per day.
