On August 1, Ukrainians will compete in athletics, shooting, judo, archery, swimming and tennis. The results of the competition day on July 31, where Ukraine won one bronze medal, have been summarized.

On August 1, Ukrainians will compete in 6 sports at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris , the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine reported, UNN writes.

"Today, on August 1, on the sixth day of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris, representatives of the national team of Ukraine will compete in 6 sports," the NOC said.

The schedule of performances is based on Kyiv time:

Athletics, medals will be awarded

8:30 - men's final, 20 km race walk: Igor Glavan

10:20 - Women's final, 20 km race walk: Liudmyla Olyanovska, Mariia Sakharuk, Olena Sobchuk

Rifle (50 m rifle, three positions), medals will be awarded

10:30 - men's final, Sergiy Kulish

Judo (weight category up to 78 kg), medals will be awarded

11:00 - women, 1/8 finals: Elizaveta Litvinenko

Results of the competition day on July 31

On the fifth day of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris, representatives of the Ukrainian national team competed in 8 sports.

Smallbore shooting (50 m smallbore rifle, three-position shooting)

Sergiy Kulish, the vice-champion of the 2016 Olympics, successfully overcame the qualification and reached the final with the third result.

Diving (synchronized tower 10 m)

Ksenia Bailo and Sofia Lyskun finished the competition in seventh place, the highest result for Ukraine in this event at the Olympic Games.

Academic rowing

Yevheniya Dovgodko, Kateryna Dudchenko, Daryna Verkhoglyad and Anastasiya Kozhenkova finished fifth in the doubles final.

The lightweight doubles crew of Ihor Khmara and Stanislav Kovalev took fifth place in their semifinal and will compete in the B final.

Swimming (200 m backstroke)

Oleksandr Zheltiakov showed the 20th time in the preliminary heats and did not qualify for the semifinals.

Slalom (single sculls)

Victoria Us successfully overcame the semifinal stage and reached the final, which she finished in 11th place.

Artistic gymnastics (individual all-around)

In the final of the individual all-around, Ilya Kovtun finished 4th, only 0.2 points separating the Ukrainian from the podium.

Oleg Vernyaev finished the competition in 8th place.

Tennis

Sisters Lyudmyla and Nadiya Kichenok reached the quarterfinals of the Olympic doubles tournament, defeating American pair Danielle Collins and Desiree Krawczyk (3:6, 6:4, 10:7).

In a tense three-hour match, Marta Kostiuk lost to Donna Vekic of Croatia in a tiebreaker - 4-6, 6-2, 6-7.

Boxing (weight class up to 57 kg)

In the 1/8 finals, Aider Abduraimov lost to the current European Games champion, Javier Ivanez Diaz from Bulgaria, by a unanimous decision of the judges.

"In the medal standings, with one bronze medal, Ukraine ranks 41st," the NOC said.
