Russian troops are trying to bypass Toretsk from the flanks in order to capture the city, but Ukrainian troops are effectively defending. The number of combat clashes has increased in the Pokrovsky direction.
The Russian army, trying to capture Toretsk, bypasses the city from the flanks, but in this direction, Ukrainian troops are acting quite effectively. This was stated by the spokesman of the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia" Viktor Tregubov on the air of the telethon, reports UNN.

The Russians are simply tired of trying to take the city, despite the fact that according to the statement of their Ministry of Defense, they have almost taken it for two months. In fact, they fail, and, most likely, will not be able to establish control. They are already trying to bypass the city from the sides, where the buildings are. In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian troops are acting quite effectively. I would not talk about large-scale counterattacks, but we can talk about effective, active defense,"said Tregubov.
In the Pokrovsk direction, an increase in combat clashes is recorded. However, the intensity of attacks has not yet reached the February figures due to significant losses of the enemy.
