Not only the former head of the Ministry of Culture received suspicion due to scheme of traveling abroad on "music tours" - details have emerged

In the case of the scheme for leaving the country through music tours, suspicion has been reported not only to the former acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy, but also to several other individuals, reported details in the National Police, writes UNN.

Details

"Operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department in the city of Kyiv and investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police, under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, blocked a criminal scheme for crossing the border by men of mobilization age in April this year. At that time, a businesswoman received a suspicion notice," the statement reads.

According to the investigation, a list of individuals — members of music bands — was submitted to the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine (formerly the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine). It also stated that these ensembles intended to support Ukraine with their charity performance abroad.

"During further measures, police established the involvement of other participants in the scheme — the former acting Minister of Culture of Ukraine and four other citizens. The latter sought out 'clients,' discussed the terms of 'tours,' and the former official signed letters of support from the department," the police stated.

"To organize the 'tours' of musicians, individual entrepreneurs were specially registered. The cost of a place in the 'band' was up to 13,000 dollars. According to available data, 28 'musicians' used this scheme, and another 16 planned to," the police reported.

For settlements, the participants of the criminal group, as noted, registered a number of crypto wallets and opened accounts in financial institutions.

"On June 19, based on the evidence obtained, police investigators announced suspicions against five members of the group, including the former top official. Their actions are qualified under Part 3 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine, committed as part of an organized group) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the police added.
